Non-exclusive worldwide royalty-free license to use a patent, granted by the owner (licensor) of the patent to another party (licensee), in order to allow the licensee to use part of the patented invention in the manufacture of other inventions. The license cannot be transferred or assigned. The licensor retains all title to the patent and to the derivative inventions.
