Use this template to prepare a Share Pledge Agreement for Canada, under which a borrower pledges to a bank or other lender certain shares held by the borrower, as security for a loan. The lender has the right to vote the shares and to receive any benefit (such as dividends) from the shares at all times that the shares are being held as security.
